Just like the pride and purpose our Elders feel when wrapped in their possum skin cloak, we want wawa biik to be a warm and inspiring space that brings people together to celebrate and learn about our traditional and contemporary aspects of Culture.

wawa biik means ‘hello Country’ which proudly acknowledges our continuous connections, relationships, and responsibilities we have and will always have to Taungurung Country as the First People and Custodians of this land. But you too have a responsibility to biik and can do your bit to strengthen culture – and it all starts with saying wawa to Country, with us.

Our newsletters will give you a sense of our purpose, introduce you to our Country, our inspiring People and our Partners, and invite you to take further steps to deepen your relationship with Country and Culture.

These are exciting times. Ngun godjin (thank you) for coming on this journey with us!

We might not have graphic design skills, but we have tourism excellence!

Please nominate us for the 2024 Strathbogie Shire Business Awards!

The Strathbogie Shire Business Awards bring together the region’s two business networks, Euroa Chamber of Business and Commerce and GoNagambie in a coordinated effort to create a basis to support and encourage business development, improvement and diversity, and to help to sustain the region’s economic future.

Please head to the link in bio to vote by Friday! THANK YOU

In the lead up to tonight’s @gardeningaustralia episode featuring the humble yet incredible @Euroa_Arboretum, we wanted to give them a shout out and enormous thanks. Check out our own video featuring Cath Olive, Executive Officer at the Arb.

The Euroa ‘Arb’ is a former sheep station turned community revegetated patch of woodlands on Taungurung Country. It’s home to the Goulburn Broken Indigenous Seedbank @gbi_seedbank producing genetically healthy local indigenous seed to support landscape restoration right across Country.

Cath and the team at the Arb have longstanding relationships with the Taungurung community, including the wawa biik team who operate cultural experiences at the Arb. We can’t understate the importance of partnerships like this for the health of our community and our Country.

Tune in tonight at 7.30 on ABC to learn more about the important role of the Arb. We look forward to welcoming you to the Arb on a wawa Euroa experience soon.
